Workday Technical Consultant (Finance/SCM + Technical) 

Job Description 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  •  The primary function of the Workday Technical Consultant is implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the Workday system
    • Design, build and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance.
    • Resolve production issues as well as guiding the team in solving Incidents/problems.
    • Support maintenance of Workday Finance configuration, including setup and functional configuration
    • Maintain, test, and implement new functionality within Workday Tech modules
    • Manage business application implementations, changes, enhancements, and process improvements.
    • Configure new user/role-based security group for access management
    • Maintains partnership with relevant stakeholders including Business, Information Technology counterparts and Vendors.
    • provide healthcare industry perspective for customer business requirements and mentor junior team members
    • Assist the integration consulting team in helping to architect integrations between Workday and external vendor solutions
    • Ad hoc reporting as required
    • Review software updates and releases and assist with testing as required.
    • Support upgrades, interfaces to other core business systems, interfaces to external systems, and helping to define and support IT processes.
    • Ensure all configuration updates follow proper procedures and workflow in order to comply with internal audit requirements
    • Work closely with end users to prioritize and manage completion of support tickets. Track and report support metrics.
    • • Leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements
    • Minimum one life-cycle implementation of Workday, including workflow development and integrations.
    • Understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, procedures and best practice
    • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
    • Proven communication skills, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability
